Monday

After a very busy weekend, we got off to a great start a for the new week:
  • Religion: We completed Lesson 20 and will go on to Lesson 22 (we did 21 last week). We are discussing the concept of "hypocrite" based on Jesus' teachings with the Pharisees.

  • General Math: p. 187; 44-69
Have a great day!

The Persuasive Essays, Book Reports, and the Blog writing should be evaluated by the end of next weekend. Thanks for your patience.

Friday, January 20

Some notes about today:
  • Religion: We had a "Pop" talk discussion today. Ask your student what the conversations encompassed. I had a blast as this gives me insights into what is going through the mind of an 8th grader. Very cool.
  • Language Arts: After DOL, the students received "The Giver". This will be our next novel that we cover in Langauge. The students then had the opportunity to work on their blog assignment for Monday.
  • General Math: No Homework; Accelerated Math.
Thanks for everyone's prompt attention to the Persuasive Essay assignment. Nice work. Today marks the end of the 2nd quarter and the end of the 1st semester. Can you believe we have reached the halfway mark for the year? Report Cards will come home on Thursday.
